Εndocrinologist Ioannis Androulakis is one of the founding members and member of the board of the Hellenic Endocrine Network (HEN). He completed his undergraduate education at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, had his specialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolism at the corresponding department of the G. Gennimatas Hospital in Athens and completed his PhD at the medical school of the University of Athens. He has presented more than 140 abstracts at scientific conferences in Greece and abroad and has published more than 50 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He is reviewer in various journals (Diabetic Medicine, Clinical Endocrinology, European Journal of Endocrinology, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Annals of Internal Medicine, Advances in Endocrinology, European Journal of Clinical Investigation, Medicine), assistant editor in the journal Frontiers in Endocrinology and teaches in a postgraduate course of the medical school of the University of Athens. Since 2010, he is running a private clinic in Chania and is an active member of the Hellenic and European Endocrinological Society, the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and the American Thyroid Association (ATA).
